I have a Dana 60 from an 04' in my 99' with 3.73 gears, I'm switching to 4.30 gears. Would the carriers be the same or do I need a new carrier?

Carrier thickness.
There are some "adapter" ring gears available to mount the different ring gear to your existing carrier. Several companies around, might give them a call.

I believe so, but it's been several years since I set one up. That's why I suggested calling a vendor.

Correct, the thick cut gears are for a 3.73-4.10 carrier, depends where the carrier break is I can't remember without looking.

Local to me is dnr driveline. Randys ring and pinion is another big shop.
Pirate- the forum- probably has twenty vendors that could help you out.
