So my Egr catalyst pipe is cracked giving me a fairly sizeable boost leak.

My question to you guys is can i just use a 1/4 thread and tap into my block off plate for the ebp sensor when relocating the block off plate to the top of the up pipe where the catalyst pipe now meets with it?

The guy i got to do the work welded the current bung for my ebp sensor on my up pipe shut.

What did everyone else do when ditching that catalyst pipe?

Thanks,

Just move the plate up to the uppipe and tap it like you said. Works fine.

Bear with me as i have another question...

What fitting should i be using to tap this plate?
Called an exhaust shop today and he said all they have is 02 sensor bungs. would this work?

What exactly am i looking for to tap into the plate?

Just drill it and tap it with a 1/4 NPT tap. Thread the fitting and tube into it and tweak/bend the tube to fit ( carefully ). You just want to make sure its not going to rub on anything or any wires.

O2 bungs are not the same thread. The fitting is a 5/16 jic to 1/4" npt if you need a new one.
