Anyone mod there own grill? I was thinking of cutting the 2 bars out of the center and somehow putting a mesh of some sort fastened on the backside of the grill. Also leaving the 2 smaller opening on either side of the main opening. If you follow me. Similar to the fx4 grill but with a mesh instead of the narrow bars in the main opening.

What's that look like? I've seen aftermarket grills that just have one big opening but I wanted to keep the 2 side ones and jus do somethin different with the center. And I never really liked the mesh flush with the outside of the grill. More looking for the recessed look, with a lip.

Well I was too chicken to start cutting up my grill, so some good ole Oxford white was applied to certain areas. Can always cut out the center later if I want. Did th bumper too.

Yes jus duplicolor. It was an xl grill but I sanded it down to try to get a shine. Didn't turn out too bad. Letting it cure didn't get it on th truck yet.

That looks really good painted like that. Leaves some good spots for some Rigids or other LED bars...

Just ordered plastidip last week. Should be here any day. Putting the XLT lights in, and painting the grill. Not sure how I am going to paint the gril though. Anyone done a different color on the super duty letters?

Got the truck back together. I was a little disappointed. Duplicolors Oxford white is a little cream looking compared to factory paint. They had a ford performance white (whatever that is) that was a little whiter that I think woulda matched exactly. Overall I'm happy with it. I was considering a rigid light bar but I think that's geared more to the rugged off road look and this truck is going to be the opposite if that so I think I'm gonna be better of with the factory fogs.

I've found the same thing with that paint. Your paint code is probably Z1, and apparently its an oddball color. Its called Oxford but its whiter.

That looks real good and I have to agree a set of factory fogs would look awesome. Maybe instead of a whole light bar, a set of Duallys would be just enough w/out overwhelming the front end with led lights.
