I need to find a way to tighten my 4inch down pipe on my Magna Flow 2 piece downpipe, at first I thought my uppipe was leaking, but I crawled under the truck and its just pushing black smoke out and up into the engine compartment. The clamp on it isnt broken, it just wont tighten any more, I have also tried a regular exhaust U clamp on it to no avail. Does anyone know of a way to get more out of the clamp, or where I can get a new clamp quickly?

What kind of clamps is on it now? If the u-clamp is bottoming out you can space the nuts off of the clamp with some washers to get a few more turns out of it.

it has a stainless wrap around clamp on it now.... and I added one of the u clamps to it as well... I will retry tonight to see what I can get out of it... I was just looking for some insight.... I had taken my turbo loose 4 or 5 times trying to figure out where all the soot was coming from, last night I finally got under it and saw what was leaking and was relieved it wasnt an uppipe....

I'm not familiar with this exact design, but where exactly is it leaking? Can it be welded? Or would that make it impossible to remove?

I've never seen my MBRP stuff leak and it uses the wrap clamp too.

its coming out of the joint... I think I may have pushed it up too high to get away from the cross member bolt rubbing. My down pipe is in 2 pieces it has a clamp half way down from the turbo, there is a wrap around clamp with a weld on it to keep it in place, I added a u clamp right below it, because it wouldnt get tight enough..... no welding up in there....

took it apart last night and put a couple of washers and a lock washer on the stainless steel wrap around clamp and it sealed up pretty good... I really cant get it as tight as I want... I have no air tools at my shop here and I cant really get my soup bones up in there with a ratchet to really draw down on it... so I will be at my shop in PA tomorrow and I will be putting the air to it.
