The last couple weeks I have noticed the EOT creeping up when the air temps get 85 deg F or above. The highest was running 80 mph into a 20 mph head wind the ECT got up to 204 deg F and the EOT got up to 218 deg F. These temps are read on a Banks tuner with a PDA plugged into the diagnostic port under the dash. I was not pulling anything. The Ex is stock except for a couple inches lift, 34" tires, and the Banks tuner. The EOT and ECT both run mid 180's at lower air temps. Should this be concerning?

My thoughts are I need to get some good manual gauges and verify the temp readings when the air temp get higher again. The factory ECT gauge remained the the same spot it goes to when the engine reaches operating temperature. It only has H and C designations with no actual numbers. I also think a good coolant system flush would be in order.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated since I am a PS newb.

By the differences in the oil temp and coolant temp, I would say you need to replace the oil cooler.

You need an oil cooler...and an egr delete if you haven't already got one.

Tons of threads about this on here
