esof troubles

[Short Bus]

ive got a 2000 6sp with esof troubles. The front drive shaft came loose and ripped the wiring harness out. We got the harness back together and now have no 4x4. I have mitchel prodemand and went through the trouble shooter, it pointed me towards a bad gem. swapped gem out of another like truck and still nothing. the relays which i think are the shift relays have no power at all going to them. from what i have read, they should have coil power and fused power, then the ground is controlled by the gem. any ideas?

Where does the power to the relays come from? If you have mitchell look at the schematic. That's where I would start.

never mind we have power at teh relays and I can move the shifter motor fwd and rev with the scanner. still have the same code and tried another gem to make sure it wasnt teh issue. guess we keep digging.

Have you tried jumping the switch. Might have shorted the switch out.

Monitoring the scanner the switch is working properly. I think we have something grounding out or shorted together. What a pain in the ass

nothing grounded out, shorted together or shorted to positive.

swapped in a new shift motor and still get p1867. wtf
