FICM/turbo vanes ????'s

Could my aftermarket ficm cause over fueling and too much black soot. Then cause vanes in turbo to stick?

Looking in to a new flash for truck. A flash which would cycle the vanes at idle cause mine dont any more.

Yes and no... soot doesn't help, but most of the issues are from letting the truck sit parked a lot, and letting it idle a lot. Driving like a little old lady doesn't help either if the vanes are not cycling during driving. Just keep the turbo exercised and you shouldn't have problems. I've got over 110k on my original turbo, never touched it and doesn't stick at all. I did get the vane cycling flash, but that probably wasn't until I had 90k on my truck.
