So my brother's 04 f250 was having a hard time starting he took my advice and got bpd ficm cause his was only seeing 28.1v we put it in while it was apart we seen some wires that were in bad shape I told him he should have a recal on it because I had one on mine so we put it on the trailer after getting the ficm on took it to ford they are saying the ficm is bad does this sound right

The wires in the harness were bad? And by bpd ficm I assume you mean bullet proof diesel...I doubt it.is.bad unless they sent it for a later year truck if it will even plug in.

So today they still haven't called him to come get his truck so I call to see what's going on the guy tells me after they fixed the ground it still wouldn't start and it had low compression and he needed a motor is that likely

Sounds like an electrical problem to me, possibly with your ficm harness. To early to jump to a conclusion though. Where is the truck at? Take it to a reputable shop.

The truck is at ford I wouldn't take my truck There but he took it in to replace the ficm harness under warranty and now they say he needs a motor they have had it for 3 days now first they told him the new bpd ficm was bad then they said it was a ground now it needs a motor I guess I just don't understan how it ran but now it won't start due to low compression his truck only has 100k on it and he takes a lot better care of it then I do mine
