Front axle knuckle

Does anyone know if the brakes off a 2005 will fit on a 2004 if I install the knuckles and outer axle shafts off a 2005-2008?

I need to do ball joints anyway, and want to install new brakes at the same time. If they will fit I thought the 2005+ knuckle would let me use the larger brakes.

The other option I'm looking into is an entire 2005-2007 axle and adding leaf spring pads to it.

Thought the 05+ dana 60s were different than the earlier model 60s. Don't know if the knuckles would be the same though?
