Garrett turbo question

I'm rebuilding a Garrett gtp38r. Mistakenly bought a rebuild kit on Amazon for a gtp38. Does anyone know if the seals from the 38 are the same as a 38r?

38R as in a ball bearing turbo? I don't believe you can rebuild it yourself.

Correct. Can't rebuild the 38R turbo, so you will not find a rebuild kit available for it.

Well, you can...but it's not worth the price for a new center section at $1100. Lol

True. That isn't really a rebuild kit though. At that point it is pretty much a new turbo LOL
