Without getting too crazy here, just curious as to what goes bad in the later model clusters. I have one now that blanks out every now and then and truck goes into limp. If I apply pressure to the Blue connector on top the cluster, it powers up fine, as soon as I let go it dies out.

Just toss a new cluster in or what?

I've always replaced them, but Ive always had plenty of used ones handy. Probably if you can solder and have time they could be easily fixed. I sent one out once to have fixed, around $300. If I remember the name of the place I'll post it.

Ford knows that they have a problem with those clusters. They will send them off and fix them but it's about $400.

I usually just put in a used cluster too.
