I've been doing a lot of reading about different routes to achieve cleaner HP. I know excessive smoke is from over fueling particularly in higher HP tunes, but can be cleaned up by giving more air. Such as bigger turbo or w/e.
I was wondering with my current stock sticks, could I add a turbo wheel and lean out the smoke? I'm also in process of ordering upgraded fuel pressure spring and Dozers Diesel fuel lines, instead of banjo bolts. Also thought of going from IDP to Gearhead due to Matt's cleaner tunes.
Just looking for some more insight or comments on it. Thanks guys.

drive to san antonio and have truck source live tune it, or Bryn to have gearhead live tune it.

Some good advice on Truck Source or Matt live tuning it.

I am surprised your Innovative tunes are that smokey though. Only tune I have ever run is xtreme race and one thing I really like about it is the nearly complete lack of smoke. There is a decent haze at WOT but barely noticeable in the mirror, and unless I pedal it stupid it never coughs out anything black.

Agreed My Matt tunes and IDP can both smoke if I don't mind the go peddle

Live tuning for your setup is definitely the way to Go

If I punch it from a stand still it will smoke like a sum-beach or if I get into it from a roll.... Clears out after the cars behind me are usually covered. I don't like feeling like I drive a smokey douche Cummings

mine is like that, but from stomping it it usually clears up pretty quickly, will leave a honda civic sized smoke cloud and then just a light haze. If getting into it hard on the highway to pass I have to tap the brake to unlock the converter so it doesn't lug and roll coal.

You're current tuner should be able to tweak the file for you, or getting it live tuned will for sure cure any drivability issues.
