H&S Performance – 302202 – 2011-2012 6.7L Ford EGT PROBE Kit

Is this really as easy as it seems? I want to know my EGT and this looks like a 10 minute job. Doesn't say anything about draining coolant.

These work good?

I'm already DPF deleted with a Minimax.

You will need an EGR blocker kit too I believe, but no you won't have to drain the coolant. The hardest part is when installing the egt plate they bolts have tendency to break off. So be sure the motor is good and cool and soak them with some penetrating oil for a little while before you try to take them out.

You won't need an egr delete with the probe kit. It's just to help give access to a monitor point without drilling and tapping holes in manifolds.

See I heard it would be better to have a warm engine.... I will soak with some oil here today before I get after it.

Yeah should be good with the EGT Kit on it's own I don't see much point in taking apart the whole EGR yet anyway.

Yep, it's as easy as it seems.... 20mins 5 bolts, 1 connection, 1 pyro, 1 gasket, 10mins of looking for a bolt I dropped and done.

The bottom bolts must be a snappers... a little snug but no broken ones for me!

Now a gooseneck and some hauling.
