I was wondering if anyone has replaced the LED in the stock headlight switch? My has flickered/not worked for nearly 10 years now. It looks really easy to solder a new one in. I'm finally getting motivated to fix it, but Im not sure what LED to get. Does anyone know the voltage / mA for it? All it shows on the circuit board is D2 and a diode symbol.

This is a diode:

I would try a 1/4 amp It is probably just a cold solder joint. Usually a diode either works or it doesn't. They are not prone at all to intermittent. If they flicker, it is usually because of intermittent voltage supply (cold solder joint).
