Help me decide

OK, it started when a piece of my oil filter stand went missing. it may or may not be in my motor. so i ordered all the parts( oil cooler, stc update, stand/dummy update) and i have them all here and was planing on doing the work tis weekend.

here is the problem...Im stationed in germany and if ANYTHING goes wrong i wont be able to drive my truck for 2 weeks while i wait on parts to get here. also i cant even find the coolant i need here. I already replaced the stand pipe and i have been driving the truck but im trying to decide if i should go ahead and do the work or wait till i get back to the states( dec 2014) or till something breaks. HELP ME!

You mean like....when you are putting in STC fitting, what r you gonna do if you drop a STC fitting bolt on camshaft gear and it bounces around and lands....maybe between the crank and cam gear? And the military is not very forgiving of these things.

I'm not really worried about the military. . Just about not having my truck for 2 weeks.

Got it finished today. I didn't find the piece of plastic (hpop screen was ripped) I did everything but the stand pipes and dummy plugs. I have to get a new injector clip and I'm going to do the standpipes then.
