Help with thumping???

I just got my aFe stage 2 intake installed and im not sure if that is what im hearing.

If i gun it and then let off the throttle fairly quickly most of the time it makes a fluttery thumping sounds like its coming from the front left side of the truck.

Not sure if its something to be concerned about.

Thats called a turbo fart. It happens in lots of our trucks. Nowhere for compressed air to go when you come off of the throttle fast, so it comes back through the turbo. I've been told it is actually hard on the turbo, so I control throttle let off if I can.

I never heard it untill i installed my intake maybe it just muffles it less

Exactly, new intake will be louder than stock for sure.
