Im curious to know how long these motor/tranny combos are lasting. I have searched google, but the threads are mostly older so no real recent data. Im trying to decide how long I should expect my 06 to last. I'm at 185,xxx and counting...

217k on mine. Just lost the stock trans at 216k. Studded at 207k. Only thing I'm afraid of is lifters but *** it can't beat a 6.0 for the money.

LOL I knew someone would say it was dumb right off the bat.
My truck is currently not running to great( finally is having HG symptoms and the stock turbo is worn out) but for 185,xxx thats not to bad IMO. It is still on stock TTY head bolts.

The 2006 has 92000 and non studded. Has had 30+ track passes and 10 dyno pulls all with 205s and a vgt 68mm but is now stock again.
The 2007 has 132000 and bought it with 130000ish and is being completely rebuilt, but prior to tear had no problems.

179K on mine. 148K on it when I bought it in 2009. Been a darn good, strong truck. Stone stock and well maintained.

He's delusional don't worry about him. It sounds like it's due for some cab off time though.

144k running fine. The egr is on its way out, with a delete kit install soon. Also hope to be replacing call joints this weekend. I got greasable ones from Napa.

270k trying for 4 00 :D
Stock head bolts, deleted egr, the owner before me replaced oil cooler and 1 or 2 injectors. I've only replaced the torque converter :D

My dad's 05 has a little over 200k on it right now. Completely stock, and has never had any major problems. He's not easy on his trucks either.
