I have a spare engine that had blown head gaskets sitting in the back of my shop. Its been sitting for two years. This morning I started checking it over because one of my customers needs it. One of the cylinders had some water in it and had rusted pretty bad. I honed it out and it feels ok, but just need some reassurance or whatever. How much rust have you seen and still be OK? I know that plenty have sat for a long time with blown coolers and then ran just fine with no honing or anything.
