Hey guys. Had a spare hpfp kickin around so I figured I'd take it apart. Here's a few pics of the internals of the pump. These pics should shed some light on what's inside.

Enjoy guys. The ring around the gerotor pump is flipped for reverse rotation which makes it easy to replace a pump if you run a twin pump kit using a k16 pump.

I really thought there would be a lot more internally on one

Doesn't seem to bad

Ya it's pretty simple actually. This pump has some rust in it but its all cleanable. Going to contact Siemons about getting a new PCV for it. Looking online at other siemons pumps leads me to think we can get them since every pump had the same valve and connector on them.

Thanks Shane, that clears up some questions I had about them! Reversing one looks pretty simple.

I tried 2 years back to get stuff from anyone when i pulled my pumps apart. Ended up just swapping stuff to a different pump. Left countless messages and tried a ton of places. Hopefully its different now that theyve been out longer.

Lubeowner had a vid on youtube of how to switch it that has been out for a while. It literally takes 2 minutes if the pump is sitting right on front of you on a bench. Also it goes to show you how small the hole is that fuel passes through to get into the hp fuel lines, rails and injectors. Makes me wonder how necessary running huge 8AN and 10AN line is.

Most likely the pistons that's the super right tolerance that makes the high pressure. The vane pump in front isn't that close tolerance

I expected the internals to be different than that too. Does seem pretty simple. What would II modify to make theirs and why the failure rate? Heavier spring and bigger outlet hole? Just guessing.

Sorry to revive this page from the past. This pump being so simple how do those little pistons get rail pressure to 25,000? I've always wanted to know how that works.
