Howdy guys, names Myles, I reside in Temple Texas, Farm in Hillsboro.

Had a 7.3 but due to a popped HG and few other things decided to just get out from under it. Now own a DMAX and ole ragged Cummins Farm Truck. Still a FORD guy deep down and enjoy keeping up with the blue oval crowd.

Nice pics! What mods were done to the 7.3 at the time it blew a head gasket?

not a thing, had a tuner that was it. Extremely rare for a stock 7.3 eh

unless you got it hot and slammed it to the floor and cracked a head...a buddy of mine just did that to his 96..

nope truck was always babied. Well not always but certainly never abused like that. Had gauges and all the stuff that goes with that.

Are you 100% sure it was the gasket?

No, the mechanic swore up and down it was. Did compression test on it. HPOP was also shot. Wanted around 4k to fix everything. Truck ran "normal" the days before. Went out the next morning and all it would do was spin over. May or may not of been the HG but i trust the mechanic that was looking at it.

Ended up selling as is for 4k. Just didnt seem worth the 4k to fix it. Had around 280k on it. Ya i regret getting rid of it but at the time just didnt have the cash flow to fix it (college student)
