Finally got to join the 6.7 club last Thursday . Traded off my 08 6.4 , It ran great but sucked fuel ( no better than 15 mpg in the summer , mostly 12-14 mpg) and was rusting , So i found a 2011 twin to my truck , truck has just over 100k on it but if you saw it you'd swear it looked like a 50k truck . Well on my way home from New Jersey truck started making a thumping sound from the engine compartment , Well i was in the hammer lane on 476 turnpike and barely made it to the shoulder before it shut off on me . Got it to the local ford dealer in Allentown and got a call today saying it was #4 injector blew out . I don't know if it was the hold-down that broke or the bolt (going to call and find out tomorrow ) Service guy wasn't real descriptive but said injector , line and some wiring needed to be replaced , Around $1700 to fix . Lucas Ford where i bought it was paying for the repairs and the tow and my car rental to get home . If it's the clamp that broke i don't feel safe if they don't replace them all . I think this is the latest revised part number from ford for the clamp EC3Z-9C334-D if anybody can confirm . I know the bolts are a torque to yield bolts and i have to find the part number for them yet . Anyone ever replace one themselves ? and how much of a hassle is it to Do it ?
