Interior light malfunctioning

I have had this problem for about a month now. When I get out of my truck sometimes the interior lights and dash bell won't turn off. If I rap on the dash sometimes it turns it off. I think it has something to do with the gauge cluster but I'm not sure. Anyone here have any ideas?

So after you close the door, the lights stay on and you can hear the bell? Seems to me your door switch is sticking and is making it think the door is open after you close it..

After you open the door to smack the dash and then shut the door again may be your making the door switch work like it should intermittently..

Take some lubricant like WD-40 or whatever you may have, open the doors and spray the locking mechanisms then open and close the doors a few times..

The bell turns off when I close the door, just the interior lights stay on.

I don't thinks I'm being hard headed here, if I slightly tap on the gauge cluster the bell stops, if I tap it again it comes right back on!

The dinger is located in the instrument cluster.
