Issues after 7.3 swap

It's a 1996 motor and trans. When it came out of the donor truck it drove and shifted fine. Now the speedo doesn't work, when you put it in hear it high idles. Especially reverse, it wants to fly. It has horrible hard shifts and when you get out of throttle and back in there is a delay and it slams into gear. The OD light flashes but our snap on modis won't read any tranny info for some reason. Also abs light is on. The motor and tranny along with dash and all wiring went into a 1993 truck. Any help would be awesome.

The trans is in safe/limp mode, sounds like it doesn't have the VSS signal.
You are going to have to go through your wiring and see what you did wrong.

Is it a 96 trans also. If so, it is a E40D not a 4R100.
Not the same transmission.
