Lifter or ....

I'm looking at trading my 04 gto for another 6.0 he says it has a tick that he hears from the top of the motor towards the alternator. He says it doesn't get louder or anything it's just there here's what's done

In the last year or so
2003 turbo
H11 studs
Platinum diamond gaskets
Welded shut egr cooler
4" exhaust
New oem oil cooler
58v swamps ficm
New Ebp sensor and pigtail

Truck has a few dings but no major dents
Interior is pretty clean and leather is all good except one seam has come apart on the drivers seat

It has 202k on it

Pull out oil filter, let it dry and check for shiny metallics.... If there is then it's lifter or cam

And anymore you run it the more metal accumulates. Best to shut her down at this point until you find out for sure if that's your issue
