Lifters

I can not find any write ups or pictures of replacing the lifters. Am i biting of too much by attempting to replace these, I consider myself a decent mechanic. I just need more info so i can visualize what i will be doing.

Because its cheap insurance and cheaper than tearing something apart a second time and replacing the cam at the same time..

Ok can anyone give me pictures or a good description of how to get them out? I bought 4 of 8C3Z6C329B. Also is there a certian way to put them back in? I will make sure the damper locating dowel notch is in the 6 o'clock position and then rotate the engine a few times before putting the injectors in.

With the heads off, unbolt the plastic hold down...I wanna say its a 10mmbolt, and lift them out. Its easy as can be. You'll see if clearly once you're looking at them

Kinda hard too see but the shiny bolt above the front 2 cylinders is the hold down.

It'll make sense when you're looking at it.

Really surprised nobody pointed out the engine needs to be out to do this since the hpop branch tubes need to come off and rear cover needs to come off to do this.
