long crank and rough idle

i have a 2006 e450 and it cranks for a long time before it starts and when it starts its rough till it warms up. thanks

Sounds like mine , 3-5 second crank rough idle and now missing all the time especially in any pull . No codes atleast no lights . Im thinking injectors .

haven't pulled codes yet but it cranks about 5 seconds sometimes more

5 seconds is ford spec if it's prolonged say 10 seconds and up could be a number of things.but it really sounds like you may have a drain back issue.you are having to spin the tthe truck to get all the oil back to the housing and through the filter.mean while the low side is playing catch up with the high side in the mean time.

if you don't have a scanner you can pull the injector clip out and pull the end off the injector one at a time.when you pull the end off it will make a difference in the way the motor sounds.if you pull an end off and it don't make a difference there's your miss.

He said E450. No drain back issue with an e series. If it runs smooth after it warms up, most likely sticky spool valves on the injectors. Couple options, switch to a 5w30 synthetic oil, rev x...may make it run smoother quicker especially with warmer weather coming...or Injector replacement or rebuild with new spools.

just changed oil with some t6 helped bit going to try some rev ex.
