hey guys i looked at a 2006 6.0 today..beautifull truck head gaskets egr 4injectors and the turbo has been rebuilt..the intercooler boots were covered in sludge and it had some oil residue running down the back side of the motor..kinda reminded me of the 7.3 engine valley run off..im guessing thisis normall from the ccv?like it is on the 7.3? but my main conceren was that the degas bottle was empty,there was no sign of over flow.ihad theguy start itforme whilei watched the exhaust,he didnt use the glow plugs and the truck hadent been started before i got there.truck fired right up no rough idle and blew some blueish smoke that was hardly visible for about 5sec..is it possible there was an air bubble in the system from the headgasket job or should i stay away?he also said he has never checked the coolent sence the job..truck has 103k on it fx4package supercrew cab laharit with sunroof back up camera air bags after market rims n new tires also comes with stock rims and tires..can get it for 17g good price?

Was the truck studded or factory head bolts?

The head gasketz were done under warrenty so they used factory head bolts.truck is super clean from colarodo..just the excess oil around the ic boots and no coolent bother me..motor is super tight w zero blow bye
So i went and drove the truck today and took a snap on modus with me..oil and coolent trmp were always two degrees with in each other even when i was getting on to it..no visible smoke at all while driving.turbo spoodled up with out any problems..so codes at all every thing is in check.it just looks like either the rear main or theplate for the cam is leaking,and no coolent leaks couldnt smell any coolent no coolent in the oil so head gaskets look good.i got him down to 16 bit i still dont know if i should what you think..
