Got a 2005 6.0, 155/50% intake manifold, studs, gaskets, fuel return and stock turbo. Was all down at once, now the truck will peg a 30psi boost gauge until 2200 rpms, after 2200 the boost falls fast, will drop under 20 by 3000 and egts get hot and lots of black smoke. No exhaust leaks, no intake leaks, was pressure tested. Turbo was checked out and all free moving.
Going to have him check drive pressure and try changing the VGT.
Any other ideas?

Do you have any way to check your hpop pressure or your fuel pressure?

Yes, HPOP will hold 3900, fuel is set at 62psi and holds 60psi.
No codes, injectors have all been tested on cold start.
Have tried 3 different turners with same out come.

This isn't my truck. A friend of mines, he just had it all done.
My trouble has always been high egts, which is getting better, and I'm you going to Texas to have gearhead (Matt) tune it and drive it. Like I've stated before, anyone is welcome to drive my truck, I would love if someone found something simple to drop my egts. At least now I'm happy with it, like moly updated post have said. Sure I'm always up to do something different to see, like going to a 5". I'm still kicking the idea of a twin setup too.
