MAGNAFUEL PUMP for diesel app.

I have a used MagnaFuel 500 fuel pump. came off old race car, was wondering if anyone has heard of using one in a diesel app. The pump is rated for 1200hp so im sure it flows enough, just not sure if it will work for my truck or not. Any knowledgeable input would be well appreciated.

that pump wouldn't be recommended.

while it would have PLENTY of volume..to support gobs of hp...it doesn't have the working pressure to refill our injectors fast enough.

basically...the HVLP pumps don't work worth a flip..since our fuel pump would need to refill...each individual injector...in between each individual injection event...

so look for a HVHP pump..similar to an Aeromotive A1000 or FueLab.

either of these pumps will work for 70-ish psi, with enough volume.

Ya I had a prostar 500 magnafuel on my modified pulling truck. They are only a 25 psi pump. If it was on a 6.4 which only needs 15psi it would be fine but on a heui you need much higher pressure. Id sell it and get an a-1000 or equivalent.
