I have extensively searched the almighty Google and still have a few questions about swapping a manual zf6 into my truck, and before the naysayers even start, I love my truck, and searched for 6 months to find "my truck" with a manual, before I ever bought my truck, so I know that its easier just sell my truck and buy another than to do the swap. that being said.
everything that I have found online, unless I missed something, says that the 6.0 and the modular transmissions use the same bellhousing pattern, and also have the same gear ratios, same torque rating, all that fun stuff.
my main question is will a gasser zf6 bolt up to my 6.0, and if so will it also be able to house a 6.0 flywheel and clutch???
second are the input/output shafts the same between gas and diesel???
the reason I ask is because "gas only" zf6's are generally cheaper than diesel zf6's and everything I have found says that they're the same, but I may have missed something major somewhere.
