Will be taking some trips in the fall going to remote places with my truck. Wondering what's the best way to go from a reliability stand point.

I've heard the latest flash from Ford stopped the trucks from shutting down if an egt sensor when out, is that true? If so, I'm assuming running a stock truck is super reliable?

Other than more power deleting and better mpg. How much more reliable are they? I came from the 7.3 performance world. Sucked to always need to fix something when adding more power... im loving just having to do maintence on this truck.

Main goal with this truck is its being made to be an overland rig. Go everywhere in comfort.

Thanks!

Keep good service intervals, especially fuel filters and drain water separator at least once a month, deleting will actually help reliability imo.

Fuel filters are every 10k, oil is 5w40 every 5k miles. Also check my coolant every 2500miles. These emissions really kill the pH in the coolant. I've had to add 2 bottles of additive so far...
