Just got my mini maxx 109003 and wanted to get all the stuff together to delete it. Was just going to get a sinister egr delete, but then I saw the hs delete which has a hole cut in the blocker plate for an egt probe. Which had me wondering will the hs read the pyro from a factory sensor or will you need to add an aftermarket probe? Sorry if this o's a stupid question. Also the sinister kit advertises a coolant hose instead of plugs saying there is less of a risk of them popping off. Or do the plugs do fine. Then on the exhaust do o want to go bungled or with bungs? Thanks guys I appreciate the help.

You'll use the factory EGT sensor in the EGR delete plate to see the temps on your minimax. Otherwise you won't see any accurate EGT readings.

H&s egr delete uses a stock dpf sensor. The sinister kit requires the h&s egt problem as the threads are not the same as a factory egt sensor. Yes, do NOT use the plugs! They'll ether blow off OR dry rot really quickie. Ether kit u buy if it doesn't come with a hose to replace them plugs all u gotta do is buy about 4 ft of 5/8 or 3/4" (5/8 is tight fit really tight, 3/4 is a little big but works) route it from the degas bottle on the passenger side to middle of radiator on the pass. Side as well. It replaces a factory hose that goes from middle of rad. To the egr. You'll see it once you start removing parts. 1st and most important, soak them bolts on the "exhaust looking pipes" on the egr to block the night b4! I've done several deletes and have broke the same bolt on everyone of them. GL

Thank you very much good info. I'll probably just go with the sinister kit and buy the hs probe. And I'll put my special soaking compound on them haha. Probably break the bolt anyways or I'll take to the local duramax I mean diesel performance shop have them do it. As for the banged vs bungless exhaust what do you guys reccomend?

Oil,
Just posted this on another forum. Get a SS bung that fits a factory exhaust piro and have it welded to the Sinister plate.
As for the bolts, that was my biggest worrie.
I have a 3/8" impact and I put it on the bolts and tightened, tapp loosen, tighten , tapp loosen, tighten, then all go loose.
Lot of times people just start with loosen. Well if you start with tighten you have a better chance of breaking the rust.

I already bought the hs pyro from Jay z he said it connects to the sinister kit I ordered. As for the exhaust question for you guys I tracked down 2 a stainless afe 5" dp back and a mbrp 5" dp back. The mbrp is around 100 more. Is it worth 100 more or just go with the afe?
