Hey guys, was brain storming and idea of ordering a bds 6" lift with the upgraded fox 2.0 shocks and telling them to keep the rear leafs and and front coil Springs and ordering deavers for the rear and icon Springs for the front cuz I heard the icon Springs are the smoothest ride, but I looked and they only have 7-9" Springs on there site, is there anyone swapping out front coils on the bds lifts and if so what are they going with? Or will the icon Springs work just fine, thanks in advance for any help.

i would go with the Deavers (custom) and Good coil overs since they are adjustable and this wil make fine tuning the height easy specially if the Deaves settle

don't be afraid to not go all spring in the rear and perhaps retain some block for ride quality and future options

Thanks for the quick reply, I'm trying to keep my price range around 3 grandish on the kit itself, so if I'm switching the front shocks to coil overs and deavers in the rear would it be a bad idea to purchase a cheaper lift kit like a rough country and upgrade the shocks?

Deavers are a cool grand + but you mentioned them first LOL

lets see cheaper idea ?

I might talk to PMF ?

mine has been a ongoing project but the biggest improvement was my 4 link

if u want the rear to ride good just use the blocks some cheaper kits come with or PMF can make you a set then spend your money on the front the rear can be revisited
without a lot of money spent twice as $ /desire/need allows

Oh sorry I meant buy basically the brackets and what not from roughcountry and the buy the coil overs deavers and shocks elsewhere so then I'm not paying the extra for bds bracketry when I'm replacing most of there kit anyways

Hmm

not sure on that I wouldn't do Rough country Myself but maybe Fabtech
thats what mine started out as it had decent properties as far as design /weld /fitment

maybe someone else can chime in on that part not really a lot needed
Radius drop brackets or a whole 3/4link

sway drop / pitman arm /track bar drop / some little stuff for ABS/vacuum hub /brake line relocate

Thanks for all the help zmann. This is my first hd truck. Originally decided to order it because I want to throw a sled deck on it for trips to the mountains, was originally planning on doing it with my 12 f150 Ecoboost but it would be overweight, and I just needed a small excuse to get rid of it and grab one of these deadly superdutys anyways. I'm pretty anal about a comfy ride, even swapped out my 150's shocks to the adjustable rancho 9000's, helped a bit. But I also already have air bags sitting at home so the soft rearend wwon't even be an issue.
