Ive been looking online to buy a new spindle for my 1997 f350 4x4 with the solid dana 60 axle up front. the question is, do we have a 6.5 or 7 inch flange on our spindle? because half of these sites say 7 and the other half 6.5! im goin nuts. Lord knows i cant snag one from the junk yard, all those jeep types buy our front axles whole. Most of the sites say 7inch like this one.

OEM Dana 60 Front Spindle

and this one

Dana 60 Ford front spindle, 92-98 F350 (YP SP708085)

but these have the 6.5???!!!??

The way to define what youi need for your truck is using the Bill of Materials number for your axle. I bought spindles for my Dana 60 that was out of 97 and I can probably find the part number from the receipt.
