This is what I have, is there a roll on bed liner, that is thick and rubbery enough to put on this, the stuff I've seen has gotten brittle and flaked over time , or would paint be better? In my head I see it as a black satin.. If a guy was to rattle can it is there a primer or something to use before?

you might have a better shot powdercoating , couple bucks more but will last if its preped right , usually they sand blast them down then prime and powdercoat , Not to crazy , i bet you could find somewhere for 150-250 bucks

I had a road armor I had powdercoated. Cost me 175 and held up perfect. Like said it's all in the prep work whether it flakes or not
