Just put an Asheville reman in a truck, I've been cranking on it off and on for about an hour now and only about 5 psi of hpo. I pull the oil filter and its dry as a bone. Push the drain back valve down and crank on it and nothing. It has a brand new lpop in it. What could cause this?

Hmmm....have you called Asheville Engine? Possible that the pick-up fell off/wasn't attached correctly.

Did you replace the front cover as well? If not did you Check to see if it was damaged? Also have you checked the regulator?
I put the pick on myself, and I ordered a front cover and it ended up being in worse shape then the one I had which wasn't bad I just wanted to have a better one. And I didn't have time to send the cover back and have another shipped to me so I put it on. But it was barely scored up. And I have not checked the pressure relief. I meant to but haven't had a Chance to work on it and won't until Monday. Thanks for the replies!
