New turbo sound

So leaving my house the other day I pull out onto the main road start to run it up. Hear the turbo whistle like normal then it switches to a whine and at 3/4 throttle I am only making about 8lbs of boost now.

I haven't had a chance to get under the hood yet. What does this sound like or nothing at all?

Hopefully a boost leak. Get under there ASAP and check your boots

Could be a boost leak. Get a boost leak detector an check it for leaks.

That is the one thing I can't get to right now. The up pipes are new so the only thing would be the connection to the back of the turbo.

Turbo to spider is tight and clean. Up pipes are new but can't really check the v-band clamp.

The engine was just cleaned two weeks ago so that is why I say the boots are clean. Need to pull the intake off and check the wheel on the turbo.

Ok I have run the truck and now when you turn the key off with the door open there is a squeaking sounds coming from around the firewall and then a rattling sound.

The rattle I think is the exhaust hitting the cross member. Fixed that once but I guess not good enough.

So my question is what do you think the squeak sound is? Could it be the turbo wheel still spinning after the truck is shut off?

Maybe this had something to do with the 17.xx ? Good reason to upgrade! but that means you have to run it again... LOL

With smaller injectors and detuned, I am pretty sure you could.

Back pressure was lower with my H2e than the 38r. Blowby is an H2e on here.

No she was cool with it. I told her I ran the truck harder getting to the track then I did at the track. LOL my time will prove that. Haha
