Have a fully ******d 2011 6.7 thats giving me some issues and cant figure it out. Truck came in with a surge and rough run, checked codes and found P0336 ckp sensor code. I went through all the diagnostic steps and checked all the wiring, wiring was ok, PCM checked out ok. So i replaced the ckp sensor and checked it over with Rotunda and still no CMP/CKP sensor sync, but i have RPM signal. seems strange to me. Truck started to act up a bit again, i went to check the cmp sensor, so i unplugged and pulled the intake and cac pipe off. then i had to move the truck so i did and it worked flawless. put the truck back together and drove it, worked great, but still no CMP/CKP sync. Any ideas???

Any history on the truck?

I have had people put their own motors in and forget the cranktone wjeel. Also seen techs do it. It picks rpm up somewhere, but runs chitty and takes a while to start. There was also a time when they first came out that i did a bunch of cam sensors in a row on 2011, there may have been a bad run of them, but those trucks would not start.

I forgot to post my findings a little while ago. But it ended up being a bad camshaft, which apparently is a rare issue in a 6.7, but a few have been found in the 2011's. Hope this helps someone else.
