Well been busy like always
This ambulance came in loud poping thru intake
Truck still drove.
Did my diag found cyl2 exhaust rocker not Traveling as much as others
Removed rocker found push rod straight
Blah blah
Now I'm here
I half to say I give props to anybody that works on e-series

The cam was slightly ground down. The lifter was ground down to the pin
I forgot to take close ups of failed component s

awe man those things are easy...there's just some extra stuff in the way:D

I had a similar thing on a 6.4 I'm working on now. except I found this and the cam was worn down a hair. putting a new lifter in hopefully solves the issue since the owner doesn't want to replace cam..shows pushrod lift now with the new lifter

i did a lifter on a 6.4 with 99k and some nasty oil.
THE customer brought us the truck from another dealer
long story short i put 3 lifters in it and a cam
fomoco will olny pay on lifter at a time
so this truck was a as$ kicker

Yep E series sucks.... My first Ford dealer i worked at we has the entire fleet on Fort Worth which was about 200 bus and boy did that blow! I cant till you how many motors i have done in just E series alone...... But glad Ford Sort of likes there employees and not putting a 6.4 in the rails of a E series but i think it falls more on the line of they just couldnt make it fit.

Nice job, cant do what i did on that one. I need to find the picture I have, but i had a e series in the other day. Needed a set of injectors, egr cooler, oil cooler, and other odds and ends. Had decided to pull the body. Extended cargo van, nothing inside of it fortunatly.

injectors in cab FTW..... ratcheting 12mm gear wrench as always saves the day....
