Not using truck

So I bought my '16 dually back in October 2015. To this date, I only have put on 1350 miles. It mostly sits in my shop with a battery tender on. I use my beater car, '93 Geo Prizm for my daily driving (27-30 MPG). If I need to move anything or do any type of work, I use my OBS.

I know if you spill DEF, it dries and crystallizes. With my truck sitting, does any happen to the DEF nozzles? Anything else I should be concerned about?

Thanks

From what I have read about it is keep it out of the sun and sealed and it will start loosing some of the potency (Or what ever you call it) after about a year. Its been a little while since looking it up, did it last year when I started thinking about a '16.

Gotcha! Not a bad idea at all, like stated. Shelf life is atleast a year in the right conditions, keep it full and you should be fine. Don't worry about the def doser, it won't crystallize and clog. There shouldn't even be fluid in the line while the truck is sitting, it should draw it back into the tank everytime you shut the truck off, with the pump. If it doesn't work like that, the fluid will "rehydrate" any dried up little bit of def on the nozzle.
