I'm really tired of problems. Just replaced my oil cooler and stc fitting and now I'm leaking coolant and oil (not a day leak but I can watch it drip. Even when the truck is off.

I really can pinpoint where its coming from but I guess the oil cooler

Did you use black rtv to seal the engine and rear engine cover(where they mate) when you put the hpop cover back on?

ford grey would be the best method, thats what i use on all mine, never had a leak yet, i seal the oil cooler housing to the block with it as well just for added insurance

I didn't use anything other then the gaskets. I was under the impression that new gaskets was all that was needed. Looks like I get to take it all apart again. I think it's the oil cooler housing. I have coolant pooled on top of my engine in the Vally

So you don't go around the whole hpop cover or oil cooler cover with the ford gray

Would It make sense that its still leaking even tho the system is unpressurized (I removed the degas cap) would it be possible that tightening the oil cooler housing bolts would seal it.

I checked that its not leaking. It stoped dripping (I think because I let the pressure out of the system)

Now its leaking from the front like it's water pump or pump cover. Does that even make sense? I didn't even get close to the water pump

I found the leak. it was coming from the upper radiator hose where it goes on the thermostat. made a pressure checker out of a bike pump and found it.
