I know you said you needed a truck for mockup and Arizona is a bit too far for me so I did a bit of a mockup for you with the 99-04 kit on my 95 with a 93 D60 in hopes you will build one. It wouldn't take much to make the 99-04 kit work, mainly just moving the center bracket slightly and re-drilling the outside U bolt holes. Stock OBS setup, notice the tie rod is straight vs the downward curve on the newer truck. Stock SD setup, curves down. Here's the biggest issue. The bracket comes out touching the bottom of the tie rod. I would suggest dropping it about 1" so the weld is along the edge of both pieces of metal. The simple work around is to mount the bracket to the track bar. Also needs the outer U bolt holes drilled in parallel with the inside vs the angle they are currently at. It is at a slight angle but I don't think it's enough to become an issue. Driver side has the adjustment sleve clamp for the tie rod in the way, turning the clamp provides some clearance. Might have to grind a recess for the clamp so the bracket can sit flush. Full lock passenger side both directions. Full lock driver side both directions. What it could look like. Measurements: Tube seems to be a bit thinner. Measured from the top of the bolts on the diff. Also needs a square cut vs a round one.
