Oil question

I drive a big truck with a junk dd15 in it. I always put Mobil delvac 15-40 in The semi. Can that be used in my 6.0? If not what is your recommendation? I run motor craft now after some trouble with regular rotella on my last 6.0. Thanks guys

Valvoline extreme blue 5W40 synthetic.. The Delvac is fine for for summer if you don't want to use the synthetic year round but the blue 5W40 year round is the way to go in your 6.0..

I assume your useing Motorcraft oil filters right? Just making sure.. I did have pretty good results useing Motorcraft 15W40 in summer and useing Motorcraft HD 10W30 diesel oil in fall, winter and early spring.. If you don't want to spend the extra money on the synthetic, that is another option.. Only thing is, 4K max on the conventional oils.. The 6.0 shears oil pretty quick..

Motorcraft also sells 5w40 from what I've heard, I may use that next time around. Friends tell me to run amsoil but 40 dollars a gallon is a joke.

Of course using the motor craft filters. I have a new set of injectors going in also so I'd rather have these 8 last me a while

Appreciate it. My last 6.0 had 265,000 miles on almost all original. That is one thing I never have done is bought an aftermarket filter, 6.0's don't like them
