I've ran delo its whole life. Just questioning how hot I should be getting it while towing/driving down the hwy.

185 no towing and 65 mph down the hwy

220-250 towing about 60mph and pulling hills kinda hard. All stock engine besides the blue spring. Working on doing all upgrades all at once.

Thanks for info. Much appreciated.

I was thinking the same thing. 185* EOT is even a little on the low side, but 220-250* EOT when towing is a tell tale that something isn't right. Unless you're towing 20k lbs or more.

That's cool at cruising. Loaded/towing you have problems. When you are towing, what are your water temps?

Hell unloaded cruising around 70 my EOT is anywhere around 205-210 but but the EOT vs ECT delta rarely goes above 10* difference

Flush the cooing system using the Ford procedure and additives. My advise is pay someone to flush it, because its a ****ty job. Flush it then replace the oil cooler. After that re evaluate your EOT and ECT differential. Ford recommends no more than fifteen degrees. Used to be twenty five degrees.

Ok. Standard oem cooler? Gonna do all up grades if I'm in there.

If you want to do it just one more time and never, ever again......get the Bulletproof Diesel remote oil cooler.
