Oil temp sender location

So I've done some trolling on different boards and sent some PM's. I'm curious to hear from the guys that have installed there senders on top of the hpop resivior. Are you guys getting rapid temps readings? I've seen some on the side of the block, in the filter housing, hpop etc. Installing mine soon so I'd like to hear what has worked best for people.

mine reads fine i got an adaptor from my lacal hydrauic shop #6 orb to 1/8 pipe to put the sender there,

Mine is in the oil filter housing. Works fine.

only beef i had with that was that it was reading after the filter and not before it.. guess it doesnt matter that much. Does it take a awhile to reach normal operating temps in that location?

Nope. Follows the same response as the factory sender.
