oil temp sensor

I noticed today that my oil temp is fluctuating quite abit. Coming home it was 180+ coolant and the oil was jumping between 190 down to 160. Where is the sensor and is it common for it to go bad?

Look in the middle of the engine in front of the turbo. The forward most electrical connector is the temp. Might be bad so could the wiring.

the plug for the temp sensor is good for getting all corroded up.

Yeah i cleaned it a little bit and its fine now so im gonna clean it better next time i tear into it.
