possible knock/ weird noise

OK found tiny shavings in my oil. plan on getting motor tore down soon. today I had to move it and noticed the motor doesn't seem to sound right. can't tell if there is a small knock or what. any ideas?

OK that's what I was guessing by the shavings. so I guess my cam is probably toast?

Yes normally locks the roller assembly on the lifter then flatspots the cam as well as it cannot roll. Lmk if ya need anything we cary all valvetrain stuff in stock .

OK taken motor out and starting disassembly. motor ran, had good power just shaving in oil. removed the oil cooler n found this in screen. other is just inside block. it ate a gasket from somewhere

got other side to tear into the work on looking at my lpop and lifters. I was also running a dorman cooler which was my stupidity and have an OEM ford to go back in.

Yeah that is what the Dorman oil cooler does.
