Push rod install

[Smokin 6.0]

Bent a few pushrods on a 7.3 with 236k+ miles on the clock. Putting in a set of Smith brothers pushrods and was wondering if it's just as easy as loosining the rockers putting the new pushrods in and tightening back up. Or does it have to be brought up to TDC on Compression stroke then tighten till snug but you can still roll them with your fingers. Built many SBC race motors but never messed with pushrods on a 7.3 before. Thanks

iirc loosen the rockers, pull the old ones out and drop the new ones in.

Yep, just make sure they are sitting in the lifter correctly.

Good and tight with a 3/8 drive ratchet. Don't kill it, just get it tight.

but if you are anything whatsoever like me, useva 1/4 inch ratchet or a stubby 3/8s... i tend to break bolts or sockets often..
