[QUOTE="Strokersace, post: 1464516, member: 622"] Projects like this. Nothing to race and go crazy with, pickup wise. Have a few ideas for some high powered cars, but that's another thread (camaro, charger, continental, etc)! I've wanted to build a bumpside for years. Old style with modern touches. I also have my mom's 1st pickup, a 74 f100 longbed. Blue and white. It's what she used to rodeo with back in the 70s. That one is getting a big block ford and a 5spd manual trans. My father in law has several 57-60s. We plan to put one of those on a crown vic chassis to have an "old" cruiser. My thoughts are these older pickups/vehicles are already 40, 50, 60 years old and still have a viable place today. Hence this thread. Are these computerized thin sheet metal pickups of today going to have the same nostalgia in 40 plus years? I doubt it. That's why I want to start working on projects that have already lived a long life, only to give them a renewed life to last another 40+ years. On top of all that, they will be projects that my son and I can work on over time. And his young life will be experiencing a piece of our previous generations history to carry on.
