Romps

Can I get a clear explanation of what this is. I hear it alot on the forums.
When does it happen, what is it exactly and what are the common causes. Thx

What i call "romping" is basically a soft lope, no real rhyme or reason. Usually not enough to move the tach, or its only 50-100rpm's up and down. My truck started romping today while sitting in traffic, tach isn't moving but i can feel/hear it. Not to mention the fact that it pushed through the brakes when it first started up and i damn near hit the car in front of me...
